On 12 April 2025, Catholic High School held its Parent-Teacher Association’s Annual General Meeting for the term 2025/2026, which was held at the Brother Philippe Wu Hall.
The event began with a welcoming speech from Yang Dipertua PIBG, En. Casey Tan Kok Chaon, as well as a speech from our school Principal, Dr. Margaret Lim Pei Tee, thanking the parents who took the time to attend the meeting and expressing her hope to further improve the quality of education in CHS. The speeches were followed by a report of PIBG activities and finances for the term 2024/2025. This was followed by a presentation of appreciation certificates to the committee members of the term 2024/2025.
At around 11:00a.m., the voting for term 2025/2026 committee members commenced. Then the new committee members were announced with Madam Fiona Rebecca Limus as the new Yang Dipertua PIBG. After this, there was a short discussion of school affairs. The meeting concluded promptly at 12:45 p.m.
2025年4月12日上午8时30分，八打灵公教国民型华文中学家教协会（家协）会员大会在本校吴酉俊修士礼堂正式召开。首先，由2024年度家协主席陈国钏先生发表致词。他感谢所有教师与家长在其任期内给予的支持与配合。随后，本校卓越校长林佩谛博士发表讲话。她由衷感谢家协长期以来对学校的信任与支持，尤其在提升学校硬体设施方面的积极参与。校长也借此机会提醒家长，要多聆听孩子的心声，陪伴和参与孩子们的成长过程。她指出，孩子的成长需要家长适当放手，也需要我们成为他们最坚强的后盾。她感谢2024年度家协理事会的无私奉献，并期待未来继续携手，共建“有温度、有希望的学习乐园”。
在会员大会的议程中，经过投票，新一届家协理事会顺利诞生。Fiona Rebecca Limus 女士当选为2025年度家教协会主席。大会于中午11时30分圆满落幕。我们相信，在新一届理事会的引领下，家协将持续为学生的发展与学校的进步贡献力量。
On 17th February 2025, Catholic High School launched its “Back to School” Programme in conjunction with its “Anti-Bullying Awareness” programme in the Brother Philippe Wu Hall.
These programmes showcased the role of the Ministry of Education Malaysia through the school faculty and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in their efforts to eliminate misconduct amongst students. A strong bond between both parties can ensure that the risk of misconduct among students is reduced by following the concept of a safe school and the practice of Caring Teachers. The presence of the School Liaison Officer from PDRM during the “Back to School” programme at the beginning of the academic year was to serve as a platform towards shaping students’ character in a more positive manner.
The objective of these programmes was to discourage students from getting involved in criminal activities either inside or outside of school, as well as to cultivate students’ interest in attending school and increase the percentage of students’ attendance at school.
2025年2月17日，八打灵公教国民型华文中学在吴酉俊修士礼堂正式隆重举行了 “一同回校”计划的开幕仪式，并结合 “反霸凌意识”计划一同推行，为新学期掀开了积极与正面的序幕。
此次活动特别邀请了 马来西亚皇家警察（PDRM） 出席，与校方携手合作，共同向全体师生传达防范不良行为与杜绝校园霸凌的重要性。通过警察与教师的共同努力，学校希望进一步强化学生的法律意识与纪律观念，避免他们在校内外卷入任何形式的不当或犯罪行为。值得一提的是，警察部门的学校事务联络官也积极参与了本次“一同回校”计划。作为校内纪律的守护者之一，学校事务联络官不仅增强了同学们的安全感，也发挥了模范作用，激励学生们在新学期以更正面、更健康的心态投入学习与校园生活。
除了提高学生对校园安全的重视，这两项计划也旨在培养同学们对学习的热情与兴趣，帮助他们树立积极的价值观与正确的人生态度。活动中，校方代表与警方官员皆强调，良好的校园环境是学生成长的重要基础，而建立这种环境，需要全体师生的共同配合与支持。
On March 3, 2025, a speaker from HELP University presented a talk titled “I CARE, I PROTECT, I LOVE MYSELF”. The aim of this talk was to prevent bullying and sexual harassment among teenagers and promote activities that stop bullying and sexual harassment to foster a safe environment for all students.
Through this session, the school sought to raise awareness and equip students with strategies to avoid and respond to acts of bullying or sexual harassment. It also aimed to increase students’ comprehension of the relevant laws and legal provisions surrounding these issues.
2025年3月3日，八打灵公中特别邀请了 HELP 大学 的讲师前来为同学们主讲一场主题为 “关爱自我·守护自我·爱自己” 的讲座。此讲座旨在提高青少年对霸凌与性骚扰的防范意识，并通过相关活动的推广，营造一个安全与和谐的校园环境。
通过此次讲座会，校方希望提升学生们对霸凌和性骚扰的认识与警觉性，提醒他们避免卷入相关行为，同时也为学生们提供实用的建议，以有效应对和防止此类情况的发生。
此外，这次的讲座会也帮助学生更深入地理解与霸凌及性骚扰相关的行为定义与法律条文。通过学习这些知识，学生们不仅能增强自我保护的能力，还能培养正确的价值观，进而共同维护校园的安全与温暖氛围。
This programme was established on 24th February 2025, with plans to continue throughout the year. Cultivating care is a professional trait required by teachers when communicating with students, parents and the community.
Through this programme, the school aims to remind teachers that students are integral assets that have to be nurtured well, and to develop an appreciation towards the contributions of the students, parents and the community to the school.
Various activities were held in conjunction to the launching of this programme. Gifts were presented to all Form 5 and Upper Form 6 students as a gesture of encouragement and to wish them success in their upcoming examinations. Gifts were also given to the rest of the student body as a token of gratitude.
Additionally, a Mentor-Mentee Programme and Caring Visits to students (based on specific categories) were implemented and carried out during this period.
2025年2月24日，八打灵公中正式推行 “爱心教师计划 2025”，并计划在全年持续落实。该活动旨在强调“关怀”是教师在教学与沟通中不可或缺的专业素养，也是建立和谐校园的重要基石。
通过该活动，校方希望提醒全体教师：学生不仅是教育的对象，更是学校最重要的财富，需要悉心培育和引导。同时，学校也借此倡导教师们珍视学生、家长以及社区所给予的支持与贡献，共同营造积极正向的校园文化。
为配合活动的启动，学校举办了多项意义深远的活动。其中，中五与中六的同学收到了由校方赠送的礼物，寓意着对他们在即将来临的主要考试中的鼓励与祝福。与此同时，其余同学也收到了一份小小的心意，以表达学校对他们的感激与支持。更重要的是，校方还推行了 “师徒制度”和家访，让教师与学生能够建立更紧密的联系，形成互相支持、共同成长的学习伙伴关系。
“爱心教师计划 2025”的开展，不仅让学生感受到学校的关怀，也进一步推动了教师的专业成长，营造了一个充满温暖与正能量的校园氛围。
From 21st to 25th April 2025, Mental Health week was held for all students. During the entire week, the school conducted mental health screenings and provided guidance to help students adopt practices that support emotional and mental well-being.
Through this programme, the school aims to increase students’ awareness of mental health, as well as highlight the importance of managing stress and maintaining a positive mindset. In addition, the school seeks to equip students with information and strategies to help them overcome mental health challenges.
Several activities and competitions were carried out throughout the week. These included congkak, cubing, and tote bag decorating competitions. Furthermore, a mental health exhibition and a talk on stress management were organised and attended by all students.
2025年4月21日至25日，八打灵公中举办了 “健康思维计划周”，全体学生均积极参与其中。活动期间，学校为学生们进行心理健康筛查，并提供专业指导，帮助他们养成有助于情绪与心理健康的良好习惯。
通过该活动，校方希望提高学生对心理健康的认知，强调管理压力与保持积极思维的重要性。同时，学校也借此机会向学生传达更多关于应对心理困扰及克服心理问题的方法与资讯。
在为期一周的活动中，学校安排了多项丰富多彩的活动与比赛。其中包括 “康乐棋比赛（congkak）”、魔方比赛以及环保袋（tote bag）创意装饰比赛。此外，还举办了 心理健康展览 以及 压力管理讲座，全体学生均参与其中并从中获益良多。
“健康思维计划周”的成功举办，不仅提高了学生们对心理健康的重视，也帮助他们建立了更加积极、健康的生活态度。
On 2nd July 2025, Edufair 2025 was organised and attended by all Form 5 and Form 6 students. Edufair was held with the purpose of exposing students to various routes of tertiary education and current career fields so that students will be better equipped to navigate their respective paths after graduating.
Edufair was also a collaborative effort between the Counselling Unit and multiple tertiary education institutions to provide fundamental information concerning current career fields available in the job market to provide a clearer understanding of the business world.
Throughout the programme, students received information about courses and scholarships offered by various tertiary education institutions. Opportunities were given to all students to ask the representatives of each institution questions about various matters or concerns related to their respective institutions.
2025年7月2日，八打灵公中举办了 “教育展 2025”，全体中五与中六的学生均参与了此次盛会。此活动旨在为学生提供有关升学途径及最新职业领域的资讯，让他们在毕业后能够更好地规划未来的发展方向。
此次教育展由 辅导组 与多所高等教育机构携手合作举办，透过分享与交流，为学生们带来关于当今职场趋势与就业机会的第一手资讯，帮助他们更清晰地了解社会与商业世界的运作模式。
在活动过程中，各大高等教育机构为学生们提供了有关课程、奖学金及升学选择的详细资料。与此同时，所有学生也获得了与院校代表面对面交流的机会，能够就课程设置、入学条件及未来前景等相关事项提出疑问并获得解答。
“教育展 2025” 的举办，不仅拓宽了学生们的眼界，也为他们提供了宝贵的资讯与指导，协助他们为未来的升学与职业道路做好充分准备。
