The Form 5 SPM Economics Motivation and Excellence Programme was held on Tuesday, 15 July 2025, from 8.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. at Dewan Kuliah, Catholic High School Petaling Jaya. Organized by the Economics Panel，the programme involved 123 students from Form 5K1 to 5K3.
The workshop aimed to strengthen students’ mastery of SPM Economics Papers 1 and 2 through revision and motivation. It focused on key answering techniques, conceptual understanding, and time management. Students participated actively and showed strong engagement throughout the session.
The programme successfully enhanced students’ confidence and exam readiness. Overall, the event was well-organized and effectively prepared students for the upcoming SPM examination.
2025年7月15日上午8时至10时30分，八打灵公教国民型华文中学举行了SPM中五经济学激励与提升课程，该项活动位于讲堂举行。该课程共有123名来自5K1至5K3班学生参加。

The SPM History Answering Techniques Workshop 2025 of Catholic High School Petaling Jaya was held on Tuesday, 29 April 2025, at the Lecture Hall. The programme involved Form 5 Permata and Mutiara students. It was coordinated by the History Panel with support from accompanying teachers.
The workshop was conducted in two slots, 8.00 a.m. to 10.20 a.m. for Permata students and 10.40 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. for Mutiara students. Sessions focused on effective answering strategies for objective, structured, and essay questions, including popular HOTS questions.
The students participated actively and gained useful techniques to enhance their SPM preparation. It provided valuable exposure, improved students’ understanding of History, and strengthened their exam readiness.
2025年4月29日，八打灵公教国民型华文中学于讲堂举办了2025年SPM历史科答题技巧工作坊。参与对象为中五Permata班和Mutiara班的学生。工作坊由历史科组负责协调，并获得随行老师的协助。
工作坊分为两个时段进行，分别是上午8时至10时20分为Permata班学生，上午10时40分至下午1时为Mutiara班学生。课程重点讲解了选择题、结构题和论述题其中包括常见的HOTS高阶思维题的有效答题策略。
学生们积极参与，并学习到了许多实用的技巧，有助于提升他们的SPM备考水平。它为学生提供了宝贵的学习机会，加深了他们对历史科的理解，并增强了他们的考试信心。
The Academic Enrichment Programmes for Science and Mathematics at Catholic High School, Petaling Jaya, were successfully conducted throughout 2025, involving Form 5 Science and Arts students. These programmes aimed to enhance understanding and exam readiness in core science and mathematics subjects.
On 11 June 2025, the SPM Biology Answering Technique Workshop was held at the Dewan Kuliah. Students from 5S3, 5S4, 5S5, and 5S8 learned effective answering techniques and key examination terms through active discussions and practices.
The next day, 12 June 2025, the Math View: New Sight Out of Your Textbook by UM Programme took place at the STEM Lab. All 5S1 students engaged in interactive group activities linking Mathematics and Additional Mathematics to real-world applications.
On 21 August 2025, the Form 5 Science Excellence Programme was held at the Dewan Kuliah. Students from 5K1 to 5K5 focused on HOTS-based questions, revision strategies, and exam techniques through model paper discussions.
The SPM Physics Path of Excellence Programme, ran from June to December 2025. Students from 5S1 to 5S9 analyzed past SPM papers (2020–2023) to identify question trends and strengthen problem-solving skills.
From April to May 2025, the Chemistry Excellence Programme was conducted in classrooms. Students completed model SPM exercises and reviewed questions with teachers to reinforce understanding.
Overall, all enrichment programmes ran smoothly with full participation. They effectively improved students’ exam preparedness, critical thinking, and motivation towards academic excellence, thanks to the commitment of coordinators, facilitators, and students alike.

2025年6月11日，SPM生物答题技巧工作坊在讲堂举行。来自5S3、5S4、5S5和5S8班的学生通过积极的讨论和练习，学习了有效的答题技巧和关键考试术语。
2025年6月12日，由马来亚大学主办的“数学视野：跳出课本，拓展新视角”课程在STEM实验室举行。所有5S1班的学生都参与了互动小组活动，将数学和附加数学知识与实际应用联系起来。
2025年8月21日，中五科学卓越课程在讲堂举行。来自5K1至5K5班的学生通过模拟试卷讨论，重点学习了高阶思维题、复习策略和考试技巧。
2025年6月至12月，来自5S1至5S9班的学生分析了2020年至2023年的SPM历年试卷，以找出题型趋势并提高解题能力。
2025年4月至5月，化学卓越课程在各班教室举行。学生们完成了SPM模拟练习，并与老师一起复习题目，以加深理解。
总体而言，所有提升课程都顺利进行，其中协调员、辅导员和学生的共同努力让这些课程有效地提高了学生的考试准备水平、批判性思维能力和追求卓越的动力。
On 11th July 2025 (Friday), Catholic High School Petaling Jaya successfully conducted the SPM Target Setting Day and Student Progress Report Day 2025. The event took place from 9.45 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. in each respective classroom.
The programme involved form teachers, accompanying teachers, students, and parents. During the session, parents had the opportunity to meet with teachers to discuss their children’s academic performance and progress. Students also set their personal SPM targets, which served as motivation to strive for better achievement.
This programme brought a positive impact as it helped identify students’ strengths and weaknesses, allowing appropriate follow-up actions to be taken. Parents also received valuable advice and feedback from teachers on how to further support their children’s academic growth.
Overall, the programme successfully strengthened the cooperation between the school, students, and parents in the pursuit of academic excellence.

Catholic High School Petaling Jaya celebrated Malaysia’s National Month this year with the theme “Malaysia Madani: Rakyat Disantuni.” The programme aimed to nurture patriotism, unity, and appreciation for Malaysia’s independence while promoting the core values of compassion, justice, and harmony under the Malaysia Madani concept among its students.
A variety of activities were held, including a Creative Art Competition, a History Quiz, and a Patriotic Song Singing Competition, alongside an Independence Exhibition at Dataran Sejarah. The launch ceremony on 22nd August 2025, officiated by our esteemed Headmistress, Dr. Margaret Lim Pei Tee, saw enthusiastic participation from both teachers and students.
Overall, the celebration was a success, strengthening national pride and unity among the school community while encouraging students to appreciate Malaysia’s heritage and the sacrifices of past heroes.

Catholic High School Petaling Jaya proudly held its Excellence Awards Ceremony 2025 on Thursday, 10th July 2025, from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The event brought together teachers, parents, and students to celebrate the school’s outstanding achievers in both academics and co-curricular activities.
The ceremony honoured students who had shown exceptional performance, including recipients of the Best Sportsman and Sportswoman Awards, Outstanding Student Awards, All A+ SPM Achievers, and the Best STPM Results Award. The joyful atmosphere reflected the pride and excitement shared by the entire school community.
